MEASUREMENTS AND MEASURING DEVICES COURSE
The purpose of this course is to familiarise a future instrument expert with all MEASUREMENTS AND MEASURING DEVICES COURSE that might be available for maintenance operations on an oil-based industrial site.
The participant should be able to: at the end of this course, in the field of instrumentation tools:
Know the tools needed for each repair and maintenance intervention.
Following this presentation, the electrician (or aspiring electrician) will be able to distinguish between analogue and digital measuring devices.
Explain the various measuring principles and technologies used in analogue devices.
Explain how electronic/digital devices work.
Distinguish the various electric values to be measured (U, I, R, Hz, etc.)
Depending on the measurement to be performed, choose the appropriate device.
Differentiate between RMS, average and continuous values, alternative and continuous components, and so on.
Depending on the values to be measured (as listed above), use the appropriate devices.
'Intelligently' use a multimeter (right span, right reading, etc.)
Determine the methods for measuring the various DC and alternating current powers.
Read, recognise, and quantify these powers and the power factor.
