Electrical Engineer Job Vacancy in Atkins Bangalore. This position will be based in Atkins' Bangalore, IN office.
What will you bring to the team?
To successfully perform this role, the candidate will be responsible for, but not limited to, the following:
Electrical design to local and international standards, including ME and the UK region
Recognize and apply British / European, ME, and Atkins standards.
Design a variety of electrical design elements, such as LV distribution, earthing and bonding, lighting, cable management systems, and building power designs.
Use Dialux, Amtech, Relux, Specsizer, and other equivalent software to perform electrical calculations.
Responsible for the timely and cost-effective completion of projects within his/her team.
Assist the Team Leader/Senior Engineer in presenting design solutions to clients and contractors during meetings.
Check deliverables for own electrical designs, as well as designs prepared within own team and other groups within area of expertise.
Estimate pricing for projects within their area of expertise in a realistic manner.
Liaise with system engineers, third parties, and specialized system suppliers, and incorporate their requirements into the detail design.
Conduct feasibility studies and write reports on sustainable options.
Coordinate with all other disciplines and improve inter-discipline collaboration with other disciplines such as architecture, civil engineering, and structural engineering.
What are you going to contribute?
Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent; Previous experience in electrical engineering or design within a consultancy.
Working towards professional registration (CEng/IEng) or demonstrating progress toward Chartership.
8 to 10 years of relevant and appropriate experience as an electrical engineer in building services.
Show knowledge and experience with BS7671, BS 50122, BS5266, and BS5839.
Experience working in a multi-dimensional environment, as well as a strong understanding of coordination and interfaces with other disciplines.
Experience with infrastructure projects and recent rail experience is required.
Be a proficient user of IT tools, particularly Word, Excel, Outlook, and electrical design tools such as Amtech, Dialux, and others.
A broader understanding of other disciplines is desirable.
Technical reports of acceptable technical and presentational quality are written. Capable of presenting their project work in presentations and meetings.
Compulsory Requirements
Proactive, IET or CIBSE member working towards CEng / IEng status would be preferred.
Relevant and applicable experience as a designer in the field of building services.
You will be a competent designer in accordance with CIBSE and BS7671 standards.
You will be familiar with computer-aided design tools such as Dialux and Amtech.
You will have Revit experience and will have completed projects using BIM skills.
Demonstrates the required level of competence and responsibility for the grade.
You will be in charge of ensuring the productivity and quality of your deliverables.
Maintains harmony and a productive environment by being transparent about work activities and project status.
Excellent command of the English language and an effective communicator, both verbally and in writing.
